Monday, May 6, 2024 – 5:00 p.m.

This meeting is a meeting of the Board of Education in public for the purpose of conducting the School District’s business and is not to be considered a public community meeting. There is a time for public comment during the meeting as indicated in the agenda.

A G E N D A

  1. Call to order and roll call: Mr. Hursh, Mr. Cowley, Mr. Landwehr, Mr. Granlund, Mr. Glonek, Mr. Probst, Ms. Brunette. Recite the Pledge of Allegiance.
  2. The agenda was posted throughout the district according to school board policy, published as a legal ad in the Superior Telegram, posted on the District webpage. A meeting notice was sent to WNXR for announcement and The Connection for publication.
  3. Approval of the agenda.
  4. Election of officers: Mr. Granlund shall preside until the next President is elected and then conduct the election of the remaining officers.
    1. Officers to be elected:
      1. Election of President
      2. Election of Vice President
      3. Election of Clerk
      4. Election of Treasurer
      5. Resolution and Appointment of CESA #12 representative to serve on the Board of Control
      6. Appointment of the WASB Correspondent
      7. Appointment of board committees
  5. Consideration for an executive session is necessary for those items exempted under open sessions according to Wisconsin State Statutes §19.85(1)(a)(c)(f). Included under these items are discussions on administrative contracts, employee benefits and an expulsion hearing.

    2. Request from Darren Nyhus and up to six (6) students attend the Wisconsin State FFA Convention in Madison, WI from June 10-13, 2024.
    3. Authorization of electronic signature block/letterhead.
    4. Three (3) Year Long Term Library Plan
    5. 2024-25 CESA 12 Shared Services Contract.
    6. Resolution Authorizing Issuance of Individual Procurement Cards.
    7. Consolidation of Bus Routes
    8. Final Nonrenewal Notice for 2024-25: 4-Year-Old-Kindergarten at the Iron River Elementary School.
    9. Request from Northwestern DECA and FBLA Chapters to attend the State Finance and Investment Challenge Bowl in Madison, WI on May 14-15, 2024.
