How and when may parents apply?

The open enrollment application period for the 2021-22 school year is from February 1-April 30, 2021. The application period closes at 4:00 p.m. on April 30, 2021. Late applications will not be accepted for any reason. Parents may apply online at https://dpi.wi.gov/oe

This extension is important because it allows the School District of Maple to continue to offer free breakfast and lunch to all students in the District, regardless of income level, to all children in the District aged 18 and under. Children do not need to attend our schools, but must be a resident of the school district to qualify.

Breakfast and Lunch are free whether you pick up your lunches at the locations below or eat at school on the days children are in attendance. Meals are provided on days school is in session only.

•    Iron River Elementary School – Main entrance from 2:45 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

IT IS IMPORTANT THAT WHEN YOU ORDER YOUR MEALS YOU SPECIFY WHICH LOCATION YOU WILL PICK THEM UP AT.  THIS IS IMPORTANT SO WE CAN PROVIDE ENOUGH MEALS!

Please order meals by 7:00 p.m. on Tuesdays at the latest.
Use the email address and number below to facilitate a smooth process for the number of requested meals. Once you have ordered, your meals will continue until December 31, 2020.  There is no need to reorder.

If you are unable to pick up your meals, please contact Jody Botten Director of Food Service at the email or telephone number listed below.

Email:  jbotten@nw-tigers.org or Text:  715-815-7251
The meals will be set on a table outside of the building.  You will need to get out of your vehicle to take the bag from the table.
For those families using the Brule Family Forum Head Start:

•    Contact Kirsten Standen at 715-372-8060 or order meals and arrange pick-up or drop off before Tuesday at noon.

For those students who bring their own lunch from home, milk is available for 50 cents per carton.
At the elementary level, afternoon milk remains the same at .50 cents per carton, unless you are on the free or reduced meal plan.

Although meals are free now, we urge all parents to fill out a federal free and reduced meal application available on our website at www.nw-tigers.org so there is no break in service at the end of the extension.
