Regular Monthly Meetings of the Board of Education are at 5:00 p.m. in the District Conference Room at Northwestern High School.  Please see the schedule of meeting dates below.

Board of Education meetings are meetings held in public, they are not "public meetings."

The "Comments from the Public" agenda item is not the forum for School District of Maple personnel concerns.  The public needs to refrain from the use of names or specific positions when used in a negative manner.  If you have concerns that involve personnel or staff members, please contact the building principal or the superintendent.

The Board of Education meetings operate according to an agenda that is developed in advance. Only items specifically placed on the agenda will be acted upon or discussed. Items or questions presented as "public comment" will not be discussed by the Board. As a rule, there will be no action or discussion of public comment items at the meeting; those will be addressed in an appropriate manner. Generally, the Board President will respond to the public comment by saying, "Thank you for your comments."

If there is an item you would like addressed for discussion, it must be placed on the monthly meeting agenda.  Please submit the item, in writing, to Peggy Janigo, Executive Administrative Assistant, at the District Office. The item will be reviewed by the Board President, who approves the monthly agendas. Those items are due 10 days in advance of the meeting for agenda development and posting requirements for open meeting laws.

Please note there may be occasions when an issue or concern can be resolved before the board meeting.  Please contact the Office of the Superintendent.
