Half of the busy forensics team competed in district competition in Drummond on Wednesday, March 27. Students competed in categories including poetry, solo acting, informative speaking, moments in history, dramatic interpretation, and special occasion speaking. Due to their involvement in other activities at school, the other half of the forensics team will be competing in the virtual district competition next week. State competition is to be held in DeForest later this April, and several competitors have qualified to compete there.
NES Mentors
The students at NES are so grateful for our NHS Mentors! We are so proud of each of our NHS students who commit to one AA time per week to befriend an NES student. Communication and commitment are the keys to a successful mentoring relationship. Thank you NHS students for staying true to the purpose of mentoring. Please see Mrs. Vik if you are interested in being a mentor.
SADD
The Students Against Destructive Decisions are working on a couple of different school-wide initiatives. One of your SADD leadership teams is working on Mental Health Awareness activities during the month of April. We do these projects to remind students of the importance of making choices that will promote healthy mind and body.
