This meeting is a meeting of the Board of Education in public for the purpose of conducting the School District’s business and is not to be considered a public community meeting.  There is a time for public participation during the meeting as indicated in the agenda.  

AGENDA

  1. Call to order, roll call, and Pledge of Allegiance. 
  2. Report on how the public was notified. 
  3. Approval of the February 10, 2020 agenda open and executive sessions.
  4. Consent Agenda:  
    1. January 13, 2020 regular board meeting minutes, open and executive sessions.
    2. Treasurer’s Report.
    3. Payment of Invoices. 
    4. Resignation(s)/Retirement/Employment/Leave of Absence
  5. Approval Items:   
    1. Jenny Forsythe and the DECA Club have three requests:
      1. Revision of the January request to attend the DECA Sports and Entertainment Marketing Conference to include spending two (2) nights in Green Bay February 26-27, 2020 returning February 28 and increase student participation from 9 to 13, and
      2. Nine students to attend the overnight State DECA Conference in Lake Geneva on March 10-12, 2020, and if they qualify,
      3. Attend the International Competition held on April 29-May 2, 2020 in Nashville, Tennessee.     
    2. Early College Credit Program – Summer Session 2020.     
    3. Support Staff Wage Increase for 2020-21.
    4. Instructional Staff Contracts for 2020-21.
    5. 2020-21 Teacher/School Calendar.
    6. Ice Rink Proposal. 
  6. Discussion on the 2020 Wisconsin State Education Convention.

      1. 2020 Spelling Bee winners, both students will compete at the 2020 Regional Spelling Bee on February 5th at CESA #12 in Ashland:  First Place: Riley Eberhardt-Gr. 8, Second Place: Izabella Opsahl-Gr. 4.
      2.  2020 Geography Bee winners:  First Place: Owen Nielcen-Gr. 7, Second Place:  Maria Wiita-Gr. 8, and Third Place: Francesca Germano-Gr. 7.
  8. Comments from the audience.
  9. Consideration for an executive session is necessary for those items exempted under open sessions according to Wisconsin State Statutes §19.85(1)(a) and (c).  Included under these items are staffing needs for the 2020-21 school year.
