What a GREAT First Few Weeks!
Do we have the BEST STUDENTS, FAMILIES, and STAFF ever or what??!! What a GREAT kickoff to our year! Our students are doing such an AMAZING job transitioning into their new grade, and we could not be more proud of them. They are truly defining what it means to be a NORTHWESTERN TIGER and keeping the tradition alive and well. Our staff have been hard at work getting to know all of their students and figuring out how to best serve their needs. Thank you for sharing these wonderful adolescents with us, and partnering with us in providing the BEST possible education we can TOGETHER.
Keeping Our Students SAFE
Our school has been taking a proactive approach and partnering with the Douglas County Sheriff’s Department to educate our students about Internet and Wireless Device Safety. Keeping Our Students INVOLVED and ACTIVE
Girls Basketball (Coach Jeff Olson), Drama Club (Advisor Kim Honkanen), Student Council (Advisors Pete Lawton and Nick Olson), Cross Country (Coach Shari Olson), and Peer Leaders (Advisor Erika Kaufman) are underway! We are so proud of our students for getting involved, and appreciate our coaches and advisors for providing these activities for our students.
NMS Parent Teacher Conferences/Meet and Greet
Most of our families had the chance to meet with teachers during our Open House in August. Our Conferences Night provides a follow up option should you have any further questions or needs. We look forward to seeing you.
Former Students Return HOME to NMS
A few years back we started inviting our former NMS students to “return home” to NMS for Homecoming. The entire NHS Football Team and Cheerleaders come over on Friday, Oct. 4 for an AWESOME pep rally with our entire middle school and really show us how to ROAR LIKE A TIGER! Families are welcome to come if you wish. Warning: It gets LOUD!! :
Fall Fest is COMING!
Our annual Fall Fest is fast approaching. Please review the guidelines attached. Contact your child’s advisory teacher with any additional questions. Families are always welcome.
