As of the 2017-18 school year school districts are required by PI26.03(1)(b)1 of the Wisconsin Administrative Code to inform parents each school year about what academic and career planning services their child receives. The following is a basic outline of services offered this school year to students at NMS:
Student Outcomes
6th Grade : Participate in self awareness and self exploration activities that will help students connect what they know and learn about themselves to future educational and career opportunities. This will include taking a variety of inventories and using academic and career planning software. 6th grade ACP is included in their Guidance 6 Class curriculum.

Northwestern Middle School & Northwestern High School Academic and Career Planning Program Map
The ACP process involves activities that fall into four aspects of college and career preparation for students in grades 4K-12th grade. KNOW activities encourage students to develop self-awareness. EXPLORE activities encourage students to explore what they are learning about themselves and relate it to college and careers. PLAN activities encourage students to plan for college and careers, and GO activities are students putting their college and career plans into action.
